Featured Initiatives
School of Social Work Community Learning Fund
The School of Social Work Community Learning Fund was developed to expand access to education that strengthens care, builds capacity and uplifts our communities. This new fund subsidizes tuition for our Continuing Education Programs, a direct response to address an identified need in the community. A featured cause for UBC Giving Day, donations made on April 8 will be matched!
School of Social Work Bursary Fund
Consider supporting the development of trained professionals in Social Services. Donations help students reduce financial barriers in obtaining their BSW or MSW credentials.
Richard Splane Fund for Aboriginal Social Work
This fund supports the School of Social Work to better prepare students to work with Aboriginal people by addressing the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s recommendations on social work policies, practice, and education. Funds donated to this initiative directly support the School of Social Work’s Indigenous Resurgence Project.
Mary Hill Scholarship in Social Work
The estate of Professor Emerita Mary Hill, a pioneer in the field of social gerontology, has made an annual scholarship available to Social Work students studying in the area of gerontology. Support this field by donating today.
